I am sorry that Sue Hayes has so many sick ferrets....

I really want to stress that rapidly spreading upper respiratory
illness may possibly be canine distemper. One fo the symptoms fo
canine distemper is just that.. so I am praying that Sue's vet has
run titer checks on some of these kids to rule that out.

If she does have distemper it requires a strict 6 month lockdown of
all incoming and outgoing ferrets to the shelter.

We have seen this scenario rear it's ugly head i the past and I surely
hope this time attention is paid to ruling out distemper.
