read about beckers and sir tieke's ear mites; I wonder why some
ferrets are more sensitive than others? Shasta occasionally got
ear mites, but Emmett is much more sensitive. . .I took him to
the vet because a) he had bite marks--looked as if a vampire had
attacked! and b) he had places with irritated skin and I was
afraid he had fleas although I hadn't found any.
Turns out the little guy is exceedingly sensitive to ear mites
and had to have drops for 10 days in a row!
I think we have ear mite eggs inside our furniture. I dust and
vacuum and wash Em's "blankies" and the slipcovers, and bathe
Em--but the pesky mites have returned several times!
Poor sir tieke sounds even more allergic than Emmett. . .
I thought the Em was a sweet-and-sensitive male but tieke sounds
as if he outclasses my little clown!
