On our site we wrote that declawing for ferrets should only be done as a
last resort.  Since we got so much response on this by ferret lovers, we
decided to change this by "should never be done".  I personally believe
it should never be done (not even with cats) but when I asked this question
to our vet he told us that sometimes there isn't another solution.  And I
quote : "When you have to make the choice between putting an animals to
sleep because he destroys the whole living room or declawing, the choice
is pretty obvious".
 
I would like to hear your opinion about this.
