Hello all,

I've been corresponding with a couple of people regarding my little girl,
Kissy, who has been lethargic for a couple of days.

The vet saw her today... her blood glucose (non-fasting test) was 80,
which the vet says is good. She had a fever of 105, but that seems to
have broken with the flagyl that the vet gave her.

However, the vet thought maybe it was heliobacter. One of the people
I've been corresponding with said that there was a series of meds for
helio, so I did a little research.

It is: sub q fluids, anti-biotic (amoxi in the info I found), kaopectate
(for stomach upset, I assume), and sucralfate, which I know nothing
about. Can anyone tell me more about this?

And if she's on the flagyl for a couple of weeks, and she is feeling 100
percent better, do we need to look at other meds?

One last question, this vet visit - visit, flagyl, full blood work
panel - cost $140. Anyone have a comment on if this is a fairly normal
cost?

Thanks for all the help everyone has already given, and continues to give
to all the people owned by ferrets. :)

Debbie
