Hello, I wonder if anyone knows what could be wrong with my Billy, he has
been vomiting occasionally (about once/twice a week) for the last 3 months,
it is just after he has eaten you can clearly see that and his stomach seems
to get a lot of air in it as well and he looks bloated, he is fed Iams
Kitten, he only seems to get really bloated with air after eating. His
poops are all normal and my vet does not think it is a blockage either. My
vet says she can feel the air in his stomach but she does not know why,
Billy has also vomited badly on 2 occasions he collapsed and his gums and
tongue went blue and I rushed him up to my vets on emergency and they
treated him for shock and put him in an incubator for a few hours on both
occasions. He has only lost some weight in the last week, he became really
ill last week and has not eaten much last week but up until last week he had
not lost any weight at all in the last 3 months and his weight has been 4 lb
all that time.

On the second occasion this bad vomiting happened and he collapsed was last
week and he was kept in at my vets for 4 days and she did an xray and some
tests and found that his heart was very round and not heart shaped like a
normal heart so she thinks one of his heart muscles have become weak and he
has become a lot slower in him self and gets tired quickly so he is now on
heart tablets (I think the tablets are called Cardearel could not understand
the vets writing on the bottle!) he has one a day and he had some fluid in
his abdomen as well last week but the vet treated this with Lasix injections
for a few days and now he has half a Frusemide tablet every other day for
now because the fluid has gone right down. Could this vomiting and air in
the stomach be connected with his heart problem? and what can be done to
try and stop it, it scares the life out of my Billy and I am at my wits end
now. He has not recovered well at all from last week and he only manages a
little walk around my bedroom (thats where he is staying now) and he gets
weak then goes back to his bed, also he vomited last night shortly after
eating again and I held him and comforted him through it all, he did not eat
anything on Sunday and has eaten very little since last week so I bought
some Whiskers cat food yesterday and he ate that last night but would not
eat his Iams kitten. I can not understand how he has gone to being so very
seriously ill since last week, I mean the morning of the day this bad
vomiting episode started last week he was war dancing with his brother Ben
on my bed although he did get a bit tired after but nothing like he is now,
he is in a very bad way now. Billy is just over 5 years old by the way and
is neutered, he means the world to me, I have had him since he was a baby
and I am really in a right bad state. Is he getting the right treatment for
his heart problem and does anyone know how to stop this vomiting please?
