I looked up the figurines from the link Marguerite gave, and at the
bottom of the list is a needle felted ferret.  It is so neat!  I was
curious about needle felting when I saw a lizard that a woman had made
and she showed me the needles and how it is done.  The needles have
little barbs you can barely feel but that's enough to catch the wool
and felt it into whatever shape is wanted.  I just may have to try for
the ferret.
