Hi,
From my knowledge of being a vet student myself, a VMD stands for
veterinary medical doctor and a DVM stands for Doctor of veterinary
medicine. VMD is the designation for veterinarians who have graduated
from Penn I believe (University of Pennsylvania or Penn State-I don't
recall where their vet school is). So there really should be no difference
between these individuals, DVM's and VMD's curriculums are essentially the
same(they are all certified vet schools).
