I don't have a dirt box for my fuzzies to play in. But, when I had only
one ferret I used to bring her to my parents house and take her outside
on a harness so she could nose around the yard. She loved to roll, dig,
and run around in the dirt and moist soil near a pond. I would watch my
little girl get in all the good dirty stuff, but somehow when she came out
her fur was always smooth, soft, and clean! I never checked her scent,
but it always amazed me that she could come out so neatly out of such a
dirty area!
