Our friend in Miami, FL has two fuzzies (one female sable and one male
sable, both about 4 yrs. old) who aren't in particularly good health.  They
both have enlarged hearts and are on Lasix and potassium.  The male was just
diagnosed with a large spleen (6 inches instead of a normal 2 inches).  He
doesn't need surgery now but there's a very good possibility he'll
eventually need it.  Has anyone out there ever had a fuzzie who has had its
spleen removed and what was the outcome?  Our friend's vet told him fuzzies
can still live okay without one.
 
Also, a few days ago there was a post regarding overdosing on Ferretone
using the recommended dosage on the bottle.  Unfortunately, we didn't save
it and felt the information could be helpful to our friend.  He gives his
fuzzies the recommended dosage twice a day because it's the only way he can
easily give them their Lasix and potassium.  We'd appreciate it if whoever
sent the posting or anyone else out there could reply.  Also, any other
ideas on another way he could give them their medication besides the
Ferretone?
