Sorry, something seems a little odd here... The facts that the animal
control officer said the ferret had no blood on it and was found in the
cage are interesting, but I don't understand why they can't look at the
bite marks on the child.  Ferrets have canine teeth and rats have incisors.
If there are over 50 bite marks on the infant, at least a few of them
should be apparent if they were inflicted by a ferret!
