Since ferrets are unable to swallow tablets in any size, a good way to do
this is to liquefy a pill.  This can be done by crushing the tablet in the
fold of wax paper/tinfoil.  Pressing a fork on the pill will crush it and
this can then be mixed with water.  Pour this mixture into a oral syringe.
Check with vet to the amount of water you can use to dissolve pill.  Make
sure the ferret is wide awake and try to give it after food has been eaten.
This can avoid the ferret vomiting the medicine back up, due to a empty
stomach.  Give your ferret a treat after his/her medicine to rid the taste.
