Dooks all!!

Boy...when I get on a roll....
I just recently drove through the "no no state" with two cats and three
ferrets. I was traveling from Alaska and Texas. We covered up the pet
carriers and just had "evidence" of cats. The border ("bug") patrol
asked no questions about animals. As long as you go through without the
appearance of looking "suspicious" you increase your chances of success.
I was also told that as long as you are traveling through the state, they
don't mind (I didn't check on the validity of this...CA people, please
correct me if I'm wrong.).

Now, on to the funny. JoJo, my 4 year old male MF sable has an intense
craving for our cat food. We feed our cats Science Diet for Sensitive
Stomachs. For some reason, JoJo just loves the stuff. He also likes
"Deli Cat" as well. So much so, that our "baby" gate does no good where
he is concerned. He just climbs over and hangs in the kitchen (the only
non-ferret safe zone). He eats the food, and then climbs out and plays
with the rest of the clan. Well, today I got home from work, put the gate
up and let the ferrets out to play. The cat bowl was empty of food (not
quite time for din din). JoJo would not be phased by this...he proceeded
to ferret out (pun intended) the rest of the "Deli Cat" food. It was in
our pantry. JoJo did the pancake imitation and got under the pantry door.
My husband was cooking in the kitchen (yes, he cooks, cleans AND takes care
of the kids!) and heard JoJo. Opened the pantry door to discover our sweet
boy JoJo totally inside the "Deli Cat" container! (Its a hard plastic
1.6kg container with a 4" diameter opening. I picked it up...it didn't
phase him. I tried to gently remove him...he resisted. I gave up! I
yelled for my daughter to get our digital camera...and my husband took
some pics (three in all). If ya want to see the adventures of JoJo and
the cat food...email me, and I will send you the pics (let me know how
you want them packaged).

Second funny....before we had ferts, we had cats...we still have the cats.
One of the games we liked to play with the cats was "chase the laser light"
(yes, we know...and we don't shine in eyes, human, kitty, or fert...I'm
a laser safety officer). Well, we recently re-discovered the laser pen.
Our ferrets have discovered the fun. Our 3 year old girl decided that
she LOVES playing with the "dot". She chased it all over the living
room...attacked the cat when the light was on it. Ran ALL over the place
chasing this light. Eduardo, our DEW also took to playing with the light.
The babies, ginger and pepper love it too..they like playing with the cats
when the cats play with the light...they think its grand fun to chase the
cats when they are playing with the laser. Its totally hilarious to watch!
(Sorry, no pics of this yet!).

Dook loads of fun! Happy holidays!
