Tracy Bussey's new kit hiccups a lot... Hiccups are pretty common in
ferrets, especially kits. They'll go away on their own quickly enough,
or drink of water or a little lick of Ferretone can help.

Tracy also asked about NYS permits... They have to be renewed annually,
$10/year. It's been that way for at least two years, and probably ever
since licenses were first required.

Max and Baby love the rubber hedgehog... We went to visit a friend
whose dog had a little "hedgie" squeaky toy. Pixxel decided it needed
to be HERS and dragged it somewhere inaccessible. That was nearly a
year ago, and the poor dog still hasn't gotten her hedgie back!

Joanne and Kent asked about ferrets and babies... That was discussed
pretty thoroughly here a little while ago. The conclusion is that
ferrets are just as good with young children as any pet -- that is,
fine as long as you supervise them closely and have enough time for
them all.
