In regards to Emetrol for ferrets:

It's been a long time since I have taken it, but doesn't that contain a
TON of sugar and syrup? Any amount of that would NOT be good for a ferret
with Insulinoma. I don't believe the sick ferret in question had it, but I
still feel it needed to be said since it was put out there as a relief for
ferrets. Frankly, Pepto Bismol or a crushed Pepcid AC mixed with some
water work fine.

Before giving ANY human over the counter medicine, you must do your
research. If you have a ferret with Insulinoma, you must double that
effort. When Bailey had a chest cold, we had to get her Diabetic cough
medicine so she wouldn't get the sugar. When unsure, consult your vet.
