I just wanted to tell you about a great sweater I saw first hand... it
was the softest sweater I have ever felt and it features our favourite
fuzzy frolicking with his friends freely across the neckline. I knew the
moment I saw it that it would become the favourite of our little naked
boy, Spaz. It was knitted by a very talented lady who donated her
supplies, time and talent to create a one of a kind creation... Ali Beck.
But there's a catch... I have to buy a raffle ticket and be one of the
lucky ones drawn to win it for him.

It is the prize in the Alberta Ferret Society's Sweater Raffle and
what can I say... I'm partial to a great cause. This year has been a
tumultuous one and their fundraising dollars have been challenged due to
some very unfortunate circumstances. Like many shelters on this list,
they've had their own influx of elderly ferrets needing palliative care,
and sick ferrets needing surgeries. As we all know, the costs can
quickly add up. On top of that, they need to continue their education
efforts to let people know that these old and sick ferrets need love too.
It can be an uphill battle especially when people have been raised with
the idea that anyone who is interested in a pet should get only a young
one.

When I joined the AFS, I saw that they not only had the drive and
ambition to see their goals through, but they had compassion for these
little guys too. And I wanted to be a part of that. So here I am
letting you know that I'm in for a penny and in for a pound, doing my
part to help give these little guys a second chance at a happy life.
Won't you please join me and purchase just one ticket to help us reach
our goal?

Here are the particulars:

Tickets are just $2 each or 3 for $5.

To enter just mail your name, snail mail address, email address or phone
number (with area code) along with your raffle fee to the Alberta Ferret
Society "Sweater Raffle" at P.O. Box 68209, 162 Bonnie Doon Mall,
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada T6C 4N6.

On receipt of your entry you will receive an email or phone call with
your raffle ticket number.

Raffle closes at midnight Nov. 30, 2002. Draw date is Dec 1, 2002 and
the lucky winner will be contacted immediately. The AFS guarantees
delivery (at our expense) in time for Christmas.
