I carefully sprayed every phone & electrical cord with Bitter Apple and that
kept mine from biting them.  You could also get some metal conduit ... it's
used for outdoor lighting ... and they for *sure* couldn't bit through
that.  I would think anything plastic could be bitten through eventually.
Maybe a combination of Bitter Apple and something like the cord cover ...
