After the inquiries last week regarding Des implant availability (for
adrenal disease) in the U.S. I e-mailed Rosie Warren of Peptech Animal
Health in Australia. For those that are aware, this is the original
company that developed the application of the 4.7 mg Dog Des (or
Superlorin implant) for ferrets. Rosie reiterated what I had posted,
Virbac Australia has bought Peptech Animal Helath and do hope the
implant will soon be available in the US from the Ft. Worth Virbac
H.Q.'s (That is pending approval through the FDA).

In the mean time, the 4.7 mg implants are available from Peptech
(Virbac Australia) and are currently in stock without any extended
waiting periods. Vets can get the necessary information required to
order the implants by writing [log in to unmask] Hopes this helps.
