For those of you who want more info on the new mycoplasma infection in
ferrets, there is an article on the Ferretsmagazine.com website (How
MSU is helping ferrets). On page 2 there is a section on mycoplasma:
<www.smallanimalchannel.com/ferrets/ferret-health/how-msu-is-helping-ferrets-2.aspx>
Just a minor correction from yesterday's post- mycoplasma was confirmed
at Michigan State University and not the University of Michigan. At
this time it is a disease to be aware of but no need to panic.
Hope that helps,
Jerry Murray, DVM
