Well pal all I can say is this. Either ya get your feet wet or ya stay
on the shore. Life isn't easy and if you are looking for an easy pet
then get a pet rock.

First of all get the book Ferrets For Dummies by Kin Shilling. Yes it
is that good. Every ferret owner should have it and read it. Also yes
even tho you live the the People's Republic of Kalifornya you can get
some very good medical treatment for you fuzzies. Yes they do have
illness andyes they do get cancers and all that BUT if you want a
companion pet that will love you back as much as you love it then hey
chum a ferret might just fill the bill. They are very intelligent furry
freaks that will steal you wallet, your car, or truck keys and anything
else that isn't firmly attached to something BUT they will also steal
your heart as well. Get the Ferret for Dummies book and read the truth
behind the miths and see if a fret is for you.

OBTW, You won't own a ferret, they Own YOU!!!

Best of luck and I hope to see that ya joined the ranks of us fret
lovers...Hey ya gotta love em'... theys frets!!!
