Meagan:

Dr. Kawasaki did my Bandit's adrenal surgery and my Slinky's Insulinoma
surgery. The cost of *both* surgeries was less than half the price of
Bandit's surgery as quoted by my regular vet. The reasons Dr. Kawasaki
can charge so much less are twofold (at least): (1) his office is in a more
remote area and so rent is significantly cheaper and (2) his practice does
not provide afterhours vet care (meaning you will have to take your fuzzies
home post surgery and make sure they maintain their body temps -- requires
hourly thermometer readings and placement on heating pads when temps go
down).

Dr. Kawasaki is a great vet and I recommend him to you. However, it will
be a lot of work for you that first night. Just wanted you to know all the
facts before you make a decision.

If you have any other questions about my experience with Dr. Kawasaki,
please feel free to email me directly.
