My 5-year-old silvermitt MF ferret does not have a winter coat yet. Should
she have one by now?

She's eating, drinking, pooping, and playing normally for her (less than
the other guys, they're younger). No hair loss, but not many guard hairs.
She's undergoing quite a hair color change now though. She usually is
grey, the color of concrete. Now she's brown w/a yellowish-brown
undertone. And her tail has COMPLETELY changed colors. It used to be
silver-grey, now it's yellowish-brown with a smattering of grey hairs.

Has she been expending all her energy on this color-change thing? NOW will
she get around to acquiring a winter coat?

Minta
