  Because I love you

   I loved you
    the moment
    I saw your
    sweet face

  You made me smile
   when I was down
       and out
     with kisses
      and love
  you lifted me up

    You forgave
    me my faults
        and
   short commings

 Loved me for who
        and
     what I am

Because you were hurting
    lying in pain
   suffering quietly,

    The years went
    too quickly by

Because I loved you
   I said goodbye
      not easy
         nor
    made lightly
    this choice
       I had

Because you gave me
    all you had
        I say
       good bye
  my sweet friend

With tears in my eyes
   my heart ripped
      to shreads
I give you release
much to my dread

Because I love you
    I let you go
    with dignity
    you deserve

Your life was a lesson
    only you could
        give

Now into God's hands
       I return
    what He gave

There's a hole in my heart
  that will never mend
      your flame has
     flicked to an end

     Alone I cry
   into the night
       missing
    all that you were
  grasping at memories
     that will always
       burn bright

     Rest peacefully
      in the arms of
        the angels

    We will meet again

I have had to help too many of my own baby's cross to the brige. Each
time my heart has been ripped out. I wanted to share this with those who
have also had to make that choice out of the love they fell and know. I
wrote this quit a while ago, but have kept it, I cry every time I read
it. It brings back so many feelings.
