We bought a baking scale (or bread scale) at a kitchen store for about
$12-$15 a few years ago. It works perfectly. It is a large plastic mixing
bowl which fits securely atop a platform which is a scale. It goes up to
eleven pounds. The bowl is big enough to fit very large ferrets.
