The answer is, I'm afraid, very stupid, but I remember it from another
mailing list.
 
The answer is "three", because the puzzle asks "What is the third word?"
 
Somebody must have gotten this out of the Lamest Jokes of All Time Book, and
it's been making its way all over the Internet. Please don't pass it on! <g>
