The first edition is still downloadable from my ferret's webpage
(http://www.gis.net/~bpcoffey/furball.html). Some shelters have made
arrangements to copy and sell it.

UPDATE: Originally I said I would have the second edition in August, but
I'm going to have to delay that a little bit. I have done an exhaustive
search of the entire FML archives and have about 180 pages of poems, songs
and stories (not neatly arranged) that I now need to get permission for.
I'll be asking each author for permission in the second half of September,
and hopefully have the second edition available by November 1st (holiday
gift anyone?).

I'm delaying the process a bit since I'll be going on my honeymoon in a
couple of weeks, and I don't want to flood my e-mail or crash any servers
while I'm away. But I promise, once I get back, I'll get the process
moving again.

There is some great stuff here just waiting to be remembered. I'd also
recommend, that anyone who has a few minutes to spare, just download two or
three old FMLs randomly and read them. You can see some major differences
(especially the authors), but many of the questions remain the same (and a
few of the authors). It was really facinating going backwards in time.
Especially when you find a debate that REALLY changed how we deal with our
fuzzies. Our combined thinking, arguing and stupidity ;-) (even flaming)
is evolving our understanding of ferrets constantly. Good job everyone who
posts. And thank you Chris Lewis and Bill Gruber for bringing us the FML.

Oh, one more thing while my honeymoon is on my mind. If you are still
reading at this point and live in Boston (Brighton), I am looking for
someone to check in on my ferrets ONCE while I am away. I have hired a pet
sitting service to visit for a while each day. I've used them before for
up to 5 days and they have done very well, but I'd really like to have an
experienced ferret OWNER stop by once (labor day weekend), half way through
our trip to make sure everyone is doing well, and everything looks about
right. I will pay and/or return favors.

Thanks,
