     To Jim Makowski concerning Linatone:

Jim - four pumps of that stuff is a bit much; one will do just as
     well.

While I know that the ferret FAQ says that you can overdose on
Vitamin A by giving too much, and it may be theoretically possible, I
have never seen a case of hypervitaminosis A, nor has one ever been
     reported.

As a matter of fact, most of the literature circulating about
"Hypervitaminosis A" lists changes that one would see with
HYPOvitaminosis A as what you would expect.

I have also had a few calls from vets about ferrets with liver disease
attributed to excess vitamin A. However, hypervitaminosis A doesn't seem
to cause liver disease in any domestic species.

What too much linatone will do, however, is to make for some loose
stools. One pump will do, and MAYBE another as a treat.
