To all you nice people who care about all our ferts:

I gave Eloise Petromalt and a 2:1 mixture of olive oil and linatone
(suggested by Alicia of FerretWise) and checked on her all the time
Saturday and Sunday. She began to eat better and continued to drink
well. No more vomiting. Poops okay. She did turn her nose up at
raisins, though.

Dr. Silverberg palpated and x-rayed her Monday morning, then gave me a
10 minute lesson in reading her x-ray. No objects; no gas pockets. He
thinks she probably passed whatever it was, and he does think it was an
obstruction, but he wants me to give her 0.5 cc of Pepto Bismol for a
week in case she has some gastric irritation.

Eloise seems good as new today. Not that she seemed on death's door to the
two women who had to x-ray the worm. My daughter calls her "Propeller
Butt" because of the way she whirls if you hold her under her arm pits.

The vet was aware of the issue, but still glad to receive the clumping
litter article and gave it to his tech to read. He thinks the olive
oil/linatone mixture is a good choice if there's a chance litter is the
problem They already use Yesterday's News there -- except for once for
a fert who was seen to eat a pellet. (He thinks it was bored.)

Thanks for your caring and your prayers
Judith & Eloise
