Cyproheptadine is an antihistamine with antiserotonin action.  It promotes
appetite by inhibition at the serotoninergic receptors, which control
satiety.  It is used clinically in cats as an appetite stimulant.  CNS
excitement and aggressive behavior may occur in some cats.  *The Merck
Veterinary Manual 8th Edition*   Page 1680: Table 1. Drugs Used to
Stimulate Appetite
 
As always consult with your Veterinarian!
 
As I stated before, Cyproheptadine saved the life of my guy Diamond.
Almost 6 months of treatment, with NO side affects.
