Several people have mentioned their vet pre-treating with Benadryl (or the
active ingredient, anyway) before shots. Just thought I'd mention that I
went and bought my own (liquid) and take it with me. We give each one 1cc
prior to the shot. Lots cheaper than having the vet administer an injection
(and one less poke to the baby).

I don't know if they really mind (the vets) or not. I've never asked. I
just take it with me.

There was another discussion recently about whether vets charged an office
visit for each animal. My vet charges for one office visit whether I take
one or all four. I now have them all on the same shot schedule so it
definitely saves me some money. It's a pain to take four at once but I
now have two visits (one for each shot) rather than six! I know the math
doesn't work. I have a brother and sister who were on the same shot
schedule before.
