    One solution that I have heard of, though I have never used it myself,
is to bite them back when they bite you.  A firm nip on one of their ears I hear
will give them the message.  This probably has something to do with the
dominance struggle that ferrets seem to go through.  Also since biting is a
natural part of their play they have learn that they can't be as rough with
their 2 legged friends as they can with their 4 legged ones.
