Not only is Scooter STEALING the socks, which I guess all ferrets do, but
he's chewing holes in the heels and backs of the ankles.  I think I have
about 3 socks without holes in them.  I'm going to have to get some new
socks and keep them in a sock bag hung on the wall or something.
