Hi all!
Well lately my baby Beckett has started to shed some of that massive winter
coat that she's been sporting since the Fall, and as a result (I assume) I've
found a hairball or three in her litterbox. I've heard that Petromalt is a
popular hairball remedy for ferrets, but my pet supply place didn't have any
when I went to get some. Instead, I bought a similar product called
"Kittymalt" (made by "8 in 1"). Does anyone have any experience with this
product? It is made for kittens so I figure that it's safe, in a reduced dose,
for ferrets. Is this a reasonable assumption? My primary concern is that the
Petromalt instructions state that food is not supposed to be consumed by the
pet for a couple of hours either side of the treatment, but the Kittymalt has
no such instructions. Any advice?
Thanks, Ross.
