If the lump is resolving and getting smaller, and it's not ulcerated, or
causing any major difficulty, I might be tempted to watch it afor another
week or two.  Surgery in the throat can be tricky, because of the proximity
of the endotracheal tube.
 
If there is no major problems, let's wait a week or so....
