Maree -- I have contacted some vets in my area for a fellow ferret owner,
who has a lovely blaze wannabe that has a cataract, and was blind in the
other eye. The cost here (SE VA) was prohibitive -- $1000.00 per eye (that
is just for the surgery) with no guarantees of success. I relayed the info
back to the ferrets owner, and since she has had no discomfort, the decision
to do surgery was put off.

Maybe you will have better luck, and I would certainly think about it,
especially if the ferret is having discomfort or pain from the condition.
