For those of you who are still asking the question....  WHAT IS A FITCH...
it is an almost ferret...  cross-bred polecat and ferret.  They are raised
on fur farms -- thus they have not learned any socialized skills.  They are
essentially the wolf-hybred of the ferret world.
 
They are also the sable paintbrushes that those artistic souls have been
using for years without knowing....  I used to use sable brushes myself----
now I use synthetics and like them very much thank you.
