One way you know you have trouble in fuzzy land. A neighbor you rarely
see knocks on your door in the pouring rain and asks if you have a ferret.
Talk about a panic! I ran to the back yard to see my newest rescue Samson
running around probably scared out of his mind. I myself have never been
so scared for one of my fur kids. They are quick. After running between
the yards for a minute that seemed like hours, he finally ran under my
neighbor's deck where I was able to coax him out with lovey weasel talk.
OMG, I held that wet little weasel so tight I thought I'd squeeze him to
death. How did he get out?

That's what baffled me but there really was only one way. There isn't much
AC flow to the kitchen and last night I was boiling myself while I was
boiling dinner.. spaghetti if you must know. I stuck my head out the back
door for a milisecond just to get my breath and closed the door...securely.
In that milisecond, the little stinker shot out the door without me seeing
him. Absolute disbelief doesn't even begin to describe it. I'm writing
this as others have to inform everyone that no matter how careful we
"know" we are that we just can't be careful enough. These fuzzbutts are
extraordinarily quick and curious.

At this moment I am forced to consider the fact that they may even be
smarter than me. (No joke) I have been thanking the powers that be all
day for this dear neighbor ( who will incidentally have a pan of lasagne
en route to him this week) Without his help, who knows what would have
befallen my sweet little Samson. Perish the thought.

Kim Fox & Samson the wet but safe weasel.
