I use a Sherpa brand bag for my guys. I think I have the medium sized
bag, and I use that for two 4-lb ferrets (very boisterous boy ferrets, I
should add--with different personality types, you could probably put two
ferrets in the small bag, and definitely you could put one ferret in the
small bag). Sherpa bags, while pretty expensive, are very sturdy and
have a solid enough mesh that I think a ferret can feel some degree of
privacy in there yet still have great air flow and some visability.
There's also plenty of pockets for food, water bottles, vaccination
papers, etc. Some models are also airline-approved, so that's another
plus. They're widely available at pet supply stores, including The
Ferret Store online. I have no relation to the company other than as
a satisfied customer :-)

The one caveat is that if you have a ferret who understands how zippers
work even from the inside, you'll need some kind of clip to keep the
zippers from being opened. Yep, this is the voice of experience
speaking! ;-)

Is that my business? Well, what is my business? Do I know? Did I ever
know? Let s not go into that. You re not human tonight, Marlowe. Maybe
I never was or ever will be... Maybe we all get like this in the cold
half-lit world where always the wrong thing happens and never the right.
