Could it also be that having the FHL (Ferret Health List) dedicated to
vet/medical questions has cut down on the size of the FML?

[Moderator's note: That's certainly one reason.  There are many less
health posts now.
 
Actually, there are a fair number of people coming and going every day,
though not more than usual lately as far as I can tell.  Most people stay
on the list for a few months then decide they've received a good education
when they notice topics repeating.  I have no problem at all with that --
means the FML has helped them get a better understanding of their ferrets.
And that means the FML -- all of you -- have helped.
 
Of course, about half the people on the FML have been here for years, the
rest are constantly changing.  BIG]
