Just wanted to send a public thank you to those of you who shared their
ferrets' experience with this disease and how they did with the PU
procedure. Thank you Dr.Williams for letting me know what the next step
should be. My vet did a biopsy of a couple of "enlarged" lymph nodes in
two different areas of the abdomen. I just got the results back and as
feared, it has metastasized. You are right on how aggressive this cancer
is. We were hoping we got all of it three months ago, and I have been
checking him everyday since, but early this week it just seems like it grew
overnight, now of course, I know it has been spreading in the lymph nodes
all along. We've decided not to put him through any more radical surgery
and try to let him enjoy what time he has left with us. This is a really
hard decision to make and I thank you all for your input. We are so glad
he made it to Christmas, because as I mentioned before, he truely loves
playing with the plastic ornaments under the tree.

Good wishes to all, and condolences to those who have lost their little
buddies. Seems like we are losing so many this time of year!

Julie
