Awhile back ago I recieved the Ferret Outfitters catalog. And although I
was thrilled to get it (it is a pretty cool catalog) it was not put in an
envelope to conseal it. (I and my undercover ferret live in a Ferret Free
Zone - we tell everyone that he's really a chinchilla!!) Annoyed, I called
them to complain. They didn't seen to be aware of the fact that my state
was a FFZ. After making sure they were aware, I recently had thoughts of
buying from them, thinking that, okay, they must know now and they won't do
this type of thing again. When I called to place an order, I asked if it
were possible to guarantee that any order I placed would be shipped in an
unmarked box, or at least in an unconspcious box...the guy I was talking to
basically said " uh.........I GUESS so......." Like I was nuts. I explained
where I was calling from and that having a box sent to me with "FERRET"
written all over it, wouldn't be cool. He was surprised to learn that
ferrets are actually illegal in some states.....Is it just me who is having
these experiences with Ferret Outfitters. They don't seem entirely on the
ball and I'm really nervous to order from them. I think it's kind of
rediculous that a company that sells ferrets isn't even knowledgable about
them enough to know that in some states they are illegal! It could just be
me, I tend to have bad luck this. People will rave about a company, and
I'll end up with the ONE lemon.
