Well, I went to the allergist on Monday, and it turns out I'm allergic to
dust, cats, and dogs. I asked him about ferrets, and he told me that the
ferret allergen isn't on the standard test, but they can special order it.
So next week I'm taking the ferret allergy test, and if I am allergic, they
will be able to add that to the shot for my other allergies that I'll get
once a week. So for everyone that thinks they may be allergic--ask your
doctor--it is available!

On another note -- on Monday after I finished with my appointment I went
home for lunch. The first thing I did was check on the fuzzies. They were
all asleep in their cage in the living room. I decided to let them sleep
until I finished lunch. So I sat at the kitchen table eating, and all of a
sudden I heard the pitter-patter of little fert feet. EllieMae had walked
right by me, not noticing me, with a purposeful look in her eye. I
screamed, "EllieMae!" And she jumped up in the air, very startled. Then
she came running over to me to give weasel kisses.

She used to always break out of her cage, but I thought she'd grown out of
it. Now this is what I think -- I think she leaves the cage every day, and
returns to it before I get home from work at night. She wasn't expecting
me home at that time, so she figured she had a few hours to roam the house
in my absence. What a sneaky weasel!

Donna,
Jethro, EllieMae (when the human's away, the fert will play), and Gillian
