Hi all,I live in a ferret free zone In New York.  I have had ferrets for
over 10 years and have a home based rescue of sorts.  I post here often.
 
I rented a room for a few months to a less than charming individual.
Among other savory things she ripped me off for two months rent,gave four
days notice and left.The landlord is obviously not concerned about this
and rightly so ,wants the money.  I recieved an eviction notice myself
and have two weeks to get out of this apartment.I unfortunatly have NO
money like many caught up in these bad economic times.Aside from that,
this less than charming individual filed a complaint with the NYC board
of health regarding the ILLEGAL ferrets.  She cited :"vile odor and
nusance from illegal animals".( NOT !  ) .
 
I recieved the summons yesterday.  I called the board of health and they
told me to keep it clean and quiet here.  usually it is " don' t ask and
don;t tell " here regarding ferrets.  Prosecution here is not as vigorous
as in California.  There is no wildlife and game comm ision and the
police In New York city have their hands full with a few other things.
Still I am scared to death of what could happen to my ferrets,and would
move ANYWAY to get away from this woman knowing where i live.
 
Still I was told if furthur complaints are filed someone will show up at
my door.  This less than charming individual is a para legal ( and thinks
she is hot stuff).  She is also a living misery as a human being and I am
fairly sure she will file furthur complaints till someone does come.I am
asking for help.  shamlessly groveling.
 
1- I need a home for a bonded group of three ASAP .  One is a biter !  .
but not too bad, he can be worked with.All of them are 3 years old.  two
male sables and one female blaze.Small cage.
 
2- I have an adorable female named Winona, love bug , lap ferret and
kisser.She was turned over to me about three months ago after being
starved in the Bronx.  She had a small lump on her belly that is now
three LARGE lumps and her vulva is starting to swell.She needs immediate
medical attention.
 
I am not asking for money, I am asking everyone to buy my book The weasel
ward.  besides the fact it is a great book I am reducing the price for

3 -I am selling T-shirts with a french stamp "L'ermine "On it .  The
stamp is beautiful with a ferret on it and the T-shirt would even have

I realize so many out there are in dire straits as well .Thanks to all
