To the person whose ferret was losing an alarming amount of weight: When
that happened to my little C-pi last summer, it turned out she had kidney
disease. Unless you're fairly sure it's something else, you might want to
consider a urine test to look for excess protein.
 
Bowl tippers: I keep my ferrets from tipping over water bowls (one of
their favorite union activities) by purchasing the heavy ceramic kind --
my furrballs are not quite strong enough to lift those.
