Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could give me an indication as to what may
be wrong with my little boy. He is a three year old, fixed Hagen male.
He has rapidly lost weight (past years he has gained about a pound for
winter) and sleeps more than usual however he is eating and drinking
fine. He is also peeing fine and although I can't distinguish whose poop
is whose, none of the "dissected" poops have hair or anything in them.
He is not gagging or coughing so I don't believe it's a blockage of any
kind.

I am going to bring him to a vet because I know this isn't right however
I just moved and haven't been to a ferret vet here yet. If the person
is not knowledgeable is there any direction I can guide them to? I am
getting concerned as he is getting bony and he has always been a larger
male. There is no hair loss, only solid stool and I can't think of
anything else right now that might help.

If there is anything you want to ask more of me to better understand what
is going on, please feel free. I would appreciate any kind of response.

Lisa
