Personally...my ferrets do fine..have travelled cross country twice with
them...no ill effects...at least 4 of them did great...
 
the one i had adopted 1 week before we left on this last trek was stressed
by the trip...but i think it was just too much all at once for him...and he
is 4 yrs old...lots of extenuating circumstances with him...
 
the others did fantastic!...just make sure you have air circulation...and
not to leave him in the car/truck when not travelling...you know, use
common sense!  :)
