Arrrghhhh! Steve took yesterday off for my birthday and the new secretary
goofed and sent the notification to Steve's work address, rather than to
our home or to the other researchers, that the article about Steve's
project was to be on the radio this morning! I wasn't up, yet, and Steve
was already in work tooling, Either later today (Wed.) or tomorrow (Thurs.)
it should be on the npr.org website. We have NO idea how it turned out, at
all, at this point, and you're likley to find out as soon as we do, unless
you heard it today (Wed.) in which case you know BEFORE we do. If you
heard the report on AT&T Labs and the digitalphono.com laboratory website
researching new ways to improve audio compression with improved quality let
us know what you thought of it, okay?

Oh, and the artwork Steve gave to a friend's new fashion magazine should be
on the stands sometime in the next few months. (He's a researcher who does
art as a hobby, and we both believe in helping friends when possible.) So,
if you see a copy of "Feva" magazine on the stands then you'll see Steve's
artwork.

If you'd like to see one of our little guys Steve put Scooter celebrating
the season in a photo (along with picies of our tree) on
http://solar.eclipse.net/~esc/december15.html
When you blow-up the Scooter shot you can also get an idea of what a foot
can look like when there's a novice mother who chews off some toes while
grooming. Scooter may eventually need some surgery to remove even more
since there's still some claw bed left in there and at times it becomes
inflammed. At this point it's not at a stage where surgery is needed, but
it has to be monitored regularly. I test its temperature by putting it
against my lips since those are more temperature sensitive, and Scooter
will shove it to my mouth anytime it's sore so he does his part. (Oh, I
did a lot of holiday cooking and Steve did NOT wait for me to swab the
floor a bit before he photographed Scoots-tooter so don't be surprised by
a dirty floor.)

Oh, and, yes, this Tiger DID get spoiled yesterday; yep, I'm 48 officially
now -- not just approximately!
