Well, howdy all.  Thursday Buster gets his stitches out and I have to talk
to the vet about what to perhaps expect over the next while.  I unfortunately
think I felt another growth, smaller, but like the one around his nipple
(this is the one which was malignant), this time around a nipple on the left
side.  Sigh!!  I don't know if I can handle this - I have to admit I'm very
glad to have Jasper right now as well as all of you to talk to about this.
Jasper has been an absolute angel through all of this and he babies my
little ones almost as much as he spoils me!
 
I did have one unfortunate episode with a friend of mine when I gave her my
news.  I told her about the surgery and the biopsy results that I had
received earlier that day and hadn't had a chance to really let off any
steam/frustration over.  She asked if Buster was my nippy ferret - yes, he
is with strangers and people who he rarely sees but he is getting better.
Anyways, she said without thinking that it was karma and that this happened
because he was a bad boy.  I know she was joking but it hurt my feelings
incredibly and I told her to quit it right there because I was upset and she
was going to make me cry.  She stopped but I don't remember hearing an
apology - then she had to go because she was busy at work.  I have since
e-mailed her and told her how much she hurt my feelings by saying something
so carelessly.  I told her that if her child was a terrible brat (she has a
wonderful 10 month old daughter) and she came to me to tell me that her
child was sick I wouldn't make such a comment, so why did she do this to me
and my 'child'??  I can't understand why she said this - she knows me well,
knows how I feel about my little ones, has had beloved pets of her own pass
away ..... it just doesn't make sense and it makes me hurt all the more.  I
haven't received a reply yet - I'm not sure what to do if I don't hear from
her by tomorrow.  I know she checks her e-mail often so .... any words of
advice guys???
 
I gotta run before I get all teary-eyed and crap but keep your fingers
crossed for us - I promise to keep you posted.  Hugs to all - oxoxo
