quotes Dr Bruce Williams, DVM, saying that there was, at time of writing
(1996) a blood test close to go to the market to check for this infection.
 
Does anybody have any idea if this ever happened?  Please drop me a note if
you know how to obtain this test, if available.  Thanks!
