You are not alone.  Dont 'worry.  There are many owners that have deaf
ferrets here.  Your baby will be just fine.  He has probably never known
the hearing world so he is just as happy and able as other ferrets.  Go
to my deaf ferret site, and read the three pages on deafness, care, etc.
Then if you like email me to say hi, or ask quetions!  :)
