Regarding green poops....
 
ECE symptoms often start with bright, almost neon green slimy poops.
These usually look like nothing more than a pile of goo - no solids
in them at all.
 
On the other hand, dark green, slimy, but solid-filled poops are very
common and don't necessarily mean disease at all.  This just means
something has upset the ferret's digestion and his food went through
too fast.  New food, new treats, or anything they pick up in their
environment can cause this to happen.  Ferrets explore with their mouths,
so they are always tasting if not swallowing things they shouldn't.
 
If you see a dark green poop every few days, it's almost always nothing
to worry about.  If that's ALL you see, or if you see the bright green
slime balls, then it's time for a trip to the vet.  Try to collect a
fresh sample to take to your vet when you go in.
